When I was growing up, I knew that the only way I wanted to make a living was through music, and so I have – with a great variety of experiences. A love of music has led me to sing and play keyboards with a band, play organ in a church, accompany others on piano, record vocally and instrumentally in studio sessions, compose choral selections for school and church, and teach private piano and voice lessons.

As a singer and keyboardist, I have performed pop, rock and standards with resort bands, wedding bands, in restaurants and nightclubs. In the position of church organist and special music director, I have played and sung classical and contemporary music for many services (weddings included) and directed musicals and special events.

As a piano accompanist, I have played for senior and college recitals, competitions, Broadway musicals and community choral concerts.

In the studio, I have sung jingles, performed solo work, been a backup singer, and a choral singer with Alfred Publishing Company.

As a published composer, I have enjoyed composing music that is educational and informative, as well as fun for young people to sing in their music classes or choirs at school. I have also written sacred choral music for church use.

Teaching piano and voice has been rewarding in helping students learn to create music on their own, find their own voice, and discover the joy that music can bring.

Not only has music brought satisfaction as a career, it has also brought love, as David and I met while making music, and that has continued throughout the years we have been together. In fact, all 6 of our children are involved in music in some way that makes our household lively and noisy, and yet somehow harmonious.
